All I use Review by DandB

I'm a 16 ga fan and these are the absolute best shells I have found.  I took a shell apart the first time I bought them and it was obvious that the components and QC were first rate.  Have hunted phez, grouse, huns, sharpies, woodcock,  rabbit and hare.   If you can cover the target, these shells do the job.  I have been amazed at the killing power on jumpy phez at distance.  Quality product at a great price point.                (Posted on 10/3/11)

Great upland shells Review by 16Steve

I purchased a case of these in 6 back in 2006 for my A-5 and Citori Superlight.  They have taken 6 species of birds in 5 states, and I'm down to the last box.  The most impressive detail of these shells are the patterns - they are beautiful.  Even, a mild density in the middle, just perfect.  I've cut a couple open, the shot is very uniform.  I will be ordering another case soon.  BP should NEVER change these shells.                (Posted on 6/11/11)

Great ammo Review by sxs-boy

I have been using this shell in #7 for over 10 years now and find it perfect for grouse hunting it the Pacific NW. I use a Russian 16 ga sxs 28" choked: imp/cyl- lt.full. It's ability to carry through vine maple and devil's club for Ruffed Grouse at close range and is hard hitting of Blue Grouse landing in tall (140+ foot) fir trees is just what I was looking for. I was also able to get my Auto-5 w/ a 2-9/16" chamber out of the colset with this shell. With a function rate of about 87 -90% it was well worth the try and lots of fun at the 5-stand course.                 (Posted on 5/11/11)

2011 turkey Review by Hey OB

I used the F2 Classic 16ga in my Ithaca Flues this turkey season and bagged a nice tom. These are great shells and shoot a nice tight pattern out of the mod choke on the old Flues. The shot was around 28 yards give or take a few feet. While cleaning the bird I removed three pellets from the upper breast area and the pellets were in perfect round condition, now thats some hard lead!!                (Posted on 5/9/11)

Damn Good Shell Review by pheasanthunter

I recently purchased a CZ Ringneck in 16 ga. wow what a gun.  Was having trouble finding good 16ga. shells in my area.  Found Band P on line, ordered a case of shells, man I am glad I did.  I found these shells to be as good if not better than some of the American brand names shells.  I have used them on Pheasant and Hungarian Partridge with great results.  I have hunted and reloaded for 50+ years, and would recommend these shells to anyone.                (Posted on 5/8/11)

Fantastic Loads Review by CP

I have used these shells for the past 4 seasons on pheasants, chukar and quail in my 16 guage double.  I honestly don't think I'll ever use anything else!  They pattern beautifully in my gun and kill like lightning.  They are an ideal combination of payload and speed.  PLEASE keep making them.                (Posted on 2/28/11)

B&P 16 gauge F2 Classic Review by Airmedic1

I began shooting a 16b again last year and ordered a couple of cases of the F2's in #6.  I have used them on pheasant, chukar, prairie chickens, sharptail and quail.  These are great shells and I have no desire to use anything else. I've never had a failure and when I do my part, they kill like the Hammer of Thor.  I think I have ordered 6 cases already. When you use these and then compare everything else to the other brands you will switch and be satisfied.

F 2 Classic 16 ga Review by uplandrich

I have used the 7 and 8 shot in this shell with great success.  It is my favorite shell in 16 ga.  It recoils less vs other loads and has great hitting power.  The spead of the load helps to minimize required lead.  These shells are excellent.                 (Posted on 10/20/10)

  1. 16 gauge F2 Legend #7 - excellent for South Dakota sharptail grouse

    Couldn't ask for more.

  2. WELL CRAFTED

Posted by Bruce in Nevada on 30th Aug 2012

I have sitting around cases of various brands and loads of 16ga ammo, but I have none that approaches the quality of the B&P Classic shells. These are by far the best choice for me, as I shoot several drillings and SXS doubles chambered for the shorter ammunition. I now use the B&P F2 Classic exclusively in all my 16ga guns, whether they are the older guns or newer guns. A combination of 7 and 5 shot in the right and left barrels is a perfect combination for my upland bird hunting.

  3. 16 ga,F2 Big Medicine - Small Package

Posted by Avid Uplander on 3rd Aug 2012

I've been using the F2 Classic 16 gauge shells for several years. Even though my 3 16 gauge side-by-sides are all 2-3/4 inch chambers I like using the slightly shorter B&P loads. I have cases of 5,6 &7s, which I use for pheasants, sharptails and hungarians. Often, when hunting I put a 7 in the right barrel and a 6 in the left. The 5s a plenty stout for wild pheasant. The high antimony lead patterns well with little deformed shot. Also, I love the true size 7 shot (not 7.5).
