***The MB Classic 12ga 1 1/8oz load is only available in 4 & 8 shot right now. Sale price is only valid for 4 & 8 shot.
The MB Classic will provide mild recoil advantage and high-speed velocity. With the 1 1/8-oz. payload, one gets about 5% more shot in the mix. This load covers the grouse, partridge, woodcock, and similar winged varieties, and offers #4 and #5 shot sizes for pests and small predators. The Gordon system and the best components make these MB series shells a great early-season choice.

I train my spaniels with a training group every weekend that I am not at a Field Trail. The MB Classic 6 shot is a great training shell. I consistently down training birds (pigeons, chukars, pheasants) out to 60 yards. The MB Classics are quiet and have little recoil. I have converted gunners in the training group over to these shells.

I have been using the 12 ga MB classic #7 for several years on big and small birds (pheasant, huns, chukar , grouse) and I love this load. I have a lot of confidence when this load is in my gun. Recoil is very manageable. Patterns great at 15-20 yards. My Griffon gets me lots of points at close range and I use Cyl and Skeet on all shots with good success. Weakness would be pheasants over 50 yards which are shots I am happy to passup on for the better short and intermediate range effectiveness. My buddy is constantly fretting over this or that load and shot size. If I could ( nontoxic regs ) I would use this load for everything.

In spaniel field trials we shoot about every five minutes all day long--a good setup for developing a flinch. We need a load that will reach out to 50-60 yards without punching us out. The MB Classic in #5 shot works well for this. Recently, I brought some to a three-day trial. The only problem I had was that I didn't bring enough. The other gunners liked them so much that they used all my ammo and I ran out and had to use another brand the last day. Next time I'll bring more ammo.
