Great ammo for High pheasant. I highly recommend! Top notch. (Posted on 2/21/11)
Great product Review by RoosterChaser
As a long time pheasant hunter that has shot many different loads, this one stands out as one of the top performers I have found. (Posted on 2/1/11)
Great Pheasant Load Review by pbaumler
I have shot just about every popular load out there for pheasants and grouse, (Fiocchi, Remington, Winchester, Federal) and I can honestly say that the MB Long Range and MB Classic is all that you ever need. They are fast, clean, soft shooting, hold their pattern extremely well and cost less compared to the others. I'm going to be using the MB Classic on an upcoming tower shoot and look forward to taking my extra money saved compared to the others and maybe buying the first round when all is said and done. superb shell for pheasant Review by fred
i'm on the second "flat" of 4's. these shells are noticeably softer shooting then the brand 'f' premiums i've used over the last 10 years. the roosters are often "dead in the air" which means no wing beating of the "hunter having the longest nose". the nickel plated shot is performing better than the copper coated i was using. just as advertised. i've also made several clean kills at distances beyond the ordinary. these shots were far enough for my hunting partners to remark. i shot after they either missed or to drop a wounded bird. i use choke tubes 1+ or 2 and 3 or 4 in my k-80 sporting barrels with 76mm chambers(factory standard). while i'm limited to preserve hunting here in pa. i usually "scratch hunt". these "veteran birds" are as wild as anything i've shot in south dakota. the shots are often long and the birds wary. my two other hunting partners are equally pleased. the recoil characteristics required a browning a-5 to have the rings positioned for light loads to have reliable functioning. this would confirm the recoil reduction characteristic. Good for tough roosters! Review by SDPheasant
Hunting party of 15+ was impressed how well they worked with these wild roosters in north east South Dakota. (Posted on 8/24/10)

Used the long range on flushed pheasants at all distances. The recoil is smooth and knock down power is great for all the different ranges we needed to shoot.

This is my go to load for late season doves, particularly Eurasians which are heavily feathered and built more like a pigeon. Also excellent for western quail which like to run and flush way out there.

Great shells.
I used to shoot them many years ago in Italy because they were the best. I tried them here in US and they are still the top performers!

I bought these for the upcoming pheasant season I was getting a little worried cause I just kept winging birds at the start of the season but now that i'm back in the saddle I'm folding birds all over. Statistically they are comparable to Remington Long Range Express which I was shooting prior to these and they function perfectly out of my Winchester 1400 I'll be trying in my O/U this weekend

I've been a fan of B&P High Pheasant shells for some time, but recently have made the switch to MB Long Range. The nickel #5 put tough pheasants down for good at 50 plus yards plus. Great for the miserable, snowy late season weather with veteran birds.
